About Demolition Softball

About Hudson Demolition Softball

Celebrating over 20 years, the Demolition's guiding principles remain unchanged:

  1. To develop motivated female athletes who strive to advance their softball careers
  2. To maintain a supportive coaching staff knowledgeable in game fundamentals
  3. To promote the value of teamwork and team unity
  4. To encourage good sportsmanship and pride in the community

The Hudson Demolition travel softball program offers players in Hudson and surrounding towns looking for a more competitive experience offered by the HYBS Recreational softball divisions.  Our mission is to develop skills and prepare athletes for their future, competing at the highest level in high school play - all while having fun.

The Demolition program features teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels.  We compete in fast-pitch tournaments throughout Massachusetts and Greater New England.

Open tryouts are held in the summer each year.  Visit the Demolition Facebook for announcements.  Each team participates in league play and/or fall tournaments in September and October.  Winter practice sessions are held between January and March, with the spring tournaments beginning in May and continuing through the first weekend in August.

HYBS takes great pride in the continued success of the Demolition program, and would like to thank the long roster of players, coaches, and volunteers who embody its rich history and competitive spirit!

Commitment Level

Demolition players are expected to make softball their primary athletic commitment during the spring and summer seasons from May through the first weekend in August.  We typically begin tournament registration in January and will survey families at that time to identify known conflicts.  The team will manage prior commitments to the best of our ability, but will then expect players to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule throughout the season. We will share the tournament schedule as soon as it is finalized, which will enable families to schedule activities outside of softball on off weekends.
