Babe Ruth Majors- 70 Majors- 60 Minors Rookie T-Ball

Majors- 70

This league is a huge step forward in the development of future ball-players to play in Babe Ruth. Probably as big as a transition as going from coach-pitch ball to kid-pitch.  The players will build on all the fundamentals they have learned to this point and apply them to a mid-field diamond.

The major differences on playing at the level are:

  • 70 ft base paths

  • 50' pitching distance

  • Leading and Stealing bases

  • Throwing distances

  • The balk rule for pitchers (only enforced at playoff time.)

  • Dropped 3rd strike rule for catchers

Season Duration:

Each team will play between 12 - 14 games during the season. On average, two games will be played during the week (Tue-Fri) and possibly one game every other weekend and possibly in another town.  Each team will also practice at least once on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday).  Games and practices are subject to change due to weather, field availability, and other circumstances.  All teams will participate in a double elimination playoff format at the end of the season.
